A super-luxury car

Our family has been using an Opel Corsa 1.6 GLS for an year now.We bought the car in Feb 2004 and after one year I felt its time to analyse its performance.

1-Exterior:Definetely one of the better looking cars in the market nowadays in its category. The exterior is nice and big, and at the same time not burly and menacing. However, I must say that Opel Corsa Swing has a lousy design and I’d never recommend anyone buying it.

2-Interior:We bought the car when they were offering it in limtied editions. Our car has a beige interior which gives it a classy feel. The seats are plush, the console beautiful and everything inside gives the interiors of a truly European car.The seats are spacious and the leg room is sufficient.

3-Engine:This is where the car scores heavily. It has a complete noiseless engine. The accelration is preety solid and with the 1.6 model you can be assured of top power at all times.

3-Mileage:The place where Corsa loses out. From personal experience I can tell that initially the mileage wasn’t good(around 7) but now it gives a solid 11 KMPl.Really good considering the engine is very powerful. The mileage improves signficantly on the highways. On a Nagpur trip it gave a mileage of 15 KMPL.

4-AC:Standard AC provided. The AC is preety powerful in the 1.6 model providing a cool experience.

5-Stereo:Blaupunkt cassete stereo provided. Corsa Swing is provided with a CD-Mp3 system.

6-After sales service:The after sales service was preety decent until the july 26 floods. Our car got damaged and we got it just last week!

On the whole Corsa is a preety good car in the B segment and I would recommend it anyday over Ford or Tata Indigo.
