I should say the swing is by all means the smartest of all station wagons one gets to see on the Indian roads. I have always been dreaming about owning a station wagon since the childhood days of seeing such cars on the screens of Hollywood movies. I grew up to discover the ruthless truth that such genre of cars are shunned in the Indian market.
Picked up a corsa swing 1.6 from the used car market and I was zapped by the way the car performed(I was earlier driving a M 800 and you can imagine how I was pressed against the seat each time I revved up!)
The car is a true performer bearing the reliability the gremans have rendered to it. The mileage however is on the lower side, but hey, you either choose performance or mileage (still the case inspite of screaming ads of automobiles that lure us in believing that these both attributes have been married in the advertised model!)
I beleive that spares would not be a problem(what with finding good ol Heralds still plying the Indian roads.or potholes should I say!)
The build is damn sturdy and you can say that with the "thud" with which the door closes.kinda gives you a very safe feeling when you are inside(what I never got from my earlier car.used to be scared at even cyclists!)
Yet to take the german stead on the highway to enjoy that peppy drive and complete stability it promises.waiting for a loooong holiday.
