My Name is Rohit and i’m a resident of Bangalore, India. I happen to buy Oppo X907 from a Chinese e-com website which ships to India. In 12 months of use the in-built battery of the phone has exhausted completely and not retaining charge.
I have been struggling to get a battery replaced for this phone. I also contacted the newly opened customer helpline centre in India 1800 1032 777 and spoke to Mr.Frank Lee (+919972584077) in Bangalore and Murali (+918867473582) the Oppo service technician in Bangalore, all refused to help. I also wrote an email to the service helpline (service@oppomobile.in) which also declined and refused to help. Although the product claimed to be the slimmest android phone (in Dec 2012) but no longer enjoys that status.
Pros: Slim and Sturdy and tempting features (look and features is the bait).
Cons: Poor camera, Chinese ROM (Near Me), in built battery of 1500 MAH (will die in 12 Months and cannot be replaced leaving your phone useless), extremely poor customer service not interesting in supporting their old products (officially). Expensive as compared to other China made Indian brands. Overall I would say be extremely cautious when buying Oppo mobiles in India. Evaluate other options.
