All my sweet Girlie Friends......Tell me.....which is your Favourite Cosmetic Brand??? Dear Girls, I just hope that none of you’ll answer ’ORIFLAME’ !!!
Guess what I am ’supposed’ to be an Oriflame Consultant. I was attending a Rotary Conference at Powai and unfortunately happened to have an Oriflame Stall near my Company Stall. And then you know Girls.........Who Can Resist The ’Temptation’ of looking at Cosmetics!!!
So there I was, innocent Me, walked to the Oriflame Stall and got caught in their NET. Honestly its like how they catch butterflies with the Net. Hehehehe!!! One thing, it proves, that their Marketing Directors, are real Good at Netting innocent people to join in as their Consultant. And the Entry Fees to Join as Oriflame Consultant is quite cheap, approx 300/-. So I filled up the form and they told me that I would get the Starter Kit immediately. Their Mantra Words are ’Look Great, Earn Money and Have Fun’. Now who can resist these types of ’catchy’ words. I was told I just had to keep getting my friends to join in as Consultants and I would get 20% on all products I buy. With that, I went home happily thinking about their Slogan "DARE TO DREAM".
My First Disappointment came in the form of their Shabby Starter Kit. A Simple Cardboard file with your Receipt and Catalogue and Price List, entire file secured with a nice black rubber band!!!!!!!!!!!!. So here is my 1st Advice to ’Oriflame’. "Give Your Consultants a ’DECENT’ Starter Kit, like a nice chic cosmetic bag with sample product testers".
I then phoned the Consultant who enrolled me under her and asked her for a decent bag and some Testers of the products. She Coolly informed me that ’I HAD TO PAY FOR THE BAG AND THE TESTER KIT’. Fine I paid for it. My 2nd Advice to ’Oriflame’. "Do not make money from your Own Consultants!!!!!!!!".
Then I went through the Catalogue and along with some friends of mine, we Excitingly placed a nice huge order of all that ’Cleverly Designed Pictures’ in the Catalogue and on their Web-Site. I found the prices quite high for some of the products, but Assumed that " They Are ’Sweedish’ Products, so must be that’s Quality!!! "
Now came in the CHAOS!!! Girls, you won’t believe, ’The Most Difficult Thing in Mumbai is to Place an Order with Oriflame and then pay the Price and then Collect the Stuff’. Honestly!!! By the Time you have finished this, you just want to ’Throw’ the Products and Run Away from them. They are so DIS-ORGANISED and their products are all JUNK !!
Half the time, the Products that You have Ordered ’Are Not Available’ !!! and then you have to first make the payment and then collect the Order. So if the product is not available........Can you Believe???? Instead of Adjusting the unavailable product cost in your Bill, they just Credit it to your Consultant Account and tell you, that in the Next Order, they would reduce the amount. "THAT’S MEANS, YOU HAVE TO PLACE THE NEXT ORDER"!!!! Got It Girls!!!! SUPERB TRICK! So then ’Oriflame’, here is my 3rd Advice " If a customer has ordered a product from me, and I placed the order, and it is not available, I HAVE TO PAY THE CUSTOMER FOR THE PRODUCT NOT RECEIVED????? ". Why should the poor Consultant suffer, as orders are placed on my ’Account’. And the ’Mistakes’ in the Billing is enough to make you go crazy with anger!
I thought atleast the ’So Called Great Sweedish’ Products would be good??????? NO WAY !!!!!!!!. I ordered a Time UnderEye Gel Pen, costing Rs 387/-. What do you think I got???? A drop of ’Serum’ from inside. You twist and twist it but not more than that one drop of gel will come out!!!!!!!!!
Please Girls, stick to your Trusted Favourite Brands like Lakme, Maybeline, L’Oreal, Chambor and You will be Happy.
