Orissa Engineering College(OEC) is the first private engineering college to be established in Odisha in 1986 which the result of the vision of Shri Kamini Kanta Patnaik.The institute provides courses in B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA.The college is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology(BPUT) and has been approved by AICTE,
The centre of management studies(CMS) is a part of Orissa engineering college that offers MBA Degrees to the students taking admission into it through Common Admission Test.The CMS is located in front of the OEC sports complex inside the campus.
OEC is a part of Nabajyoti Charitable Trust’s endeavour to provide quality education. The college was started with an aim to provide quality technical education to a wider domain of illustrious students of the state of Odisha in particular and the nation in general.
There are two main student interaction program conducted in OEC.
1) Zazen is the technical festival of OEC, Bhubaneswar. This is a three-day technical innovative meet attracting a large number of students every yea, and they host a series of multiple functions that’s funded by different clubs.
2) Zephyr, is a three-day event and mostly social in nature. There are renowned musical bands that present over there along with musical concerts and fashion parades which can be attributed to the relaxing events for this institute.
