I was introduced to this site by one of my friends and Still regret heading to his request.
Orkut is just not about writing its an addiction.
I made a resolution for one day that I will not visit this site the whole day ... But I could’nt stop my self when I got a message saying that some one has scrapped me...
The Site like many other site allows to to form a cirle of friends and allows you to join communities that are of your interest. Here in you are allowed to write your views in this community and you could scrap ’Write an entry into the scrap book’ of any one. The site allows you to read the scrap of any of its member and you can scrap any one he/she need not be your friend... But to post a message in a community you have to join the community. The site provides lots of statistics of who visited you. Who has send you a message. etc., Orkut has grown a lot and has been able to sustain its member base.

Being able to visit and see lots of friends
A community allows members of commen interest share their views.
Making new friends.
Minus
Not many features as in MouthShut.
Its hard to find ones own posted message..
Many bogus users and communities spoil the sport.
Even With all these Pluses and minuses Orkut has still won the heart of many..
