Had the chance of eating at the OTIK Food Plaza at GKII, New Delhi this weekend. I had been planning to visit the place for long, having heard about it as a place serving Iranian food. I walked out more than happy with the food, good value for money, very tasty.
The place is a smallish place, not bigger than your local halvai, and decent ambience. Shortcoming on the ambience being that the lighting makes it look like a bar, very subdued, not the best thing for a food plaza or even a casual restaurant. I ordered for a plate of Chicken Schninix (or something like that, an Iranian dish) and followed it with a Chicken Malai Tikka. Both the items were excellent.
All kudos to their staff for cooking just succulent meal, well done guys. I ended my meal with a Fresh Fruit Pastry. Contrary to my experience in most parts of Delhi, the pastry was fresh, as against more places where by the time we consume it is already up to a day old or if not is a badly executed food item.
I was having a great time with all the nice meal and all, when the interaction with the middle management at the place ruined the whole thing. The persons arrogance was not even befitting an emperor. The words which emerge naturally just by thinking about my interaction with the person are not even mentionable. I would not want to go back to the place, if I see the person again, but yes the food is definite YES.
