I had been to Ottawa for a dual degree programme. I was a student at Algonquin college and was staying in Algonquin residence. While reaching at Ottawa airport, the international service department was there to receive me, and he took me to the college campus, and arrange dinner for me in Indian restaurant. Due to timing problem and long distance journey for next day I was feeling tiered, vomiting, but I get all help from all my instructor, and with in two days, they helped me to know about the college, city, transport service, different places, where to buy groceries, mobile cards, dresses etc.
After one week I started visiting the city by walking and I found that all roads are connected with each other with fully planned, in every bus stop you will find a general store to get news paper, chocolates, snacks, bus tickets, mobile calling cards, etc, so you will never find your self alone at any time in this city. One day incident( while cooking in kitchen due to careless the firm alarmed got active and with in 10 minutes there fire department people reached and checked and give clearance before they leave, they are having very cold hearted people, they will help you in each problem if they can or else they will guide you to the concern person.
Respect to each other, and each religious, you will find lot many Indian grocery stores, Indian restaurants, so you can avail all Indian things over there. Also There is a Lord Jagannath temple so you can do daily worship also.
