When East meets west life gets-OUT OF CONTROL!When Bollywood meets Baywatch babe a film is made called-OUT OF CONTROL.What is the first thing about this movie to attract the audiences?Of course, the baywatch babe, dancing and singing in a Bollywood movie, exactly like any Bollywood actress.More than that, the film has got all the ’masalas’, to attract the audience.For people, who like to see modern and COOL movies, this film is also for them, and those who like to see routine Bollywood films, this film is also for them!
THE FILM:
Puja Films ’’Out Of Control’’, produced by Vashu Bhagnani (whose films, of late, have been continuosly flopping one after the other) and directed by Ramanjit Juneja and Apurva Asrani, stars Ritesh Deshmukh, Brande Rodericks, Hrishitaa Bhatt, Amrish Puri, Satish Kaushik, Satish Shah and Himani Shivpuri!This film is no small one!Despite, having a story as old as hills, this film seems fresh, because of the biggest reson-Baywatch (Hawaii) babe!But there is more to the film, a word very usual-ENTERTAINING!
THE CHARACTERS AND PERFORMANCES:
1.Jaswinder Singh Bedi(Ritesh Deshmukh):A Punjabi guy, Jaswinder, comes to U.S.A, New York, from India, to fulfill his dreams.He does different part time jobs, like delivering newspapers etc.His life takes turn, when he has two wives-one western and one eastern!Ritesh Deshmukh has improved alot, and is surely out of his ’’Tujhe Meri Kasam’’ days.After all, isn`t this a big achievement that he got the chance to romance the Baywatch babe?Leaving the Baywatch babe aside, and coming to his performance, Ritesh is very natural, and looks what he is playing, but in some parts of the movie, you`ll feel that he has a long way to go to become something, but as Jaswinder, in this film, he doesn`t disappoint you at all!
2.Sally(Brande Rodericks):Sally, is a sexy, night club singer, who falls in love with a ’desi punjabi munda’, and marries him, not knowing the problems of his life, which take place after this marriage!Brande Rodericks, is surprisingly, amazing, in the film as a performer.Though, she has also exposed (Hey!After all, she is the baywatch babe), still in the acting department also, she shines.She speaks Hindi, in a very cute way and the most famous+lovable dialogue of hers is ’’Not Gori silly, Gaon Ki Gori’’.She has spoke Hindi, like ’’Papaji T(h)eek To(e) Hain’’, and all that.This is the best thing about the film, that an Angrezi maim is speaking Hindi!
3.Richa(Hrishitaa Bhatt):A complete, shy, ’’sharmilee’’, desi girl, Richa also falls in love with Jaswinder and gets married to him, not knowing she has a ’sautan’, that also an American lady!Hrishitaa Bhatt, has never been a horrible performer, its just that she never got that much of fame, or hype ever.In this film, she looks innocent-which was the demand of the character.She fulfills all the demands of the character she had to play!
4.Jatta Singh Bedi(Amrish Puri):Jatta Singh Bedi, is a punjabi, papaji.The father of Jaswinder, and the father-in-law of two daughter-in-laws, he is a complete ’Out Of Control’ person!Amrish Puri as Jatta Singh Bedi, is excellent, making the film more entertaining.He makes you laugh, and the most entertaining portions of the film, are those in which he is there.His scenes with Brande will really entertain you.’’Oye!English girl talking Punjabi’’.Supporting, an artificial beard, and a pag, on his head, Amrish Puri, has played his part wonderfully.
Of the rest, Satish Shah, is also good, as Flower, a happy n ’gay’ person.It is different and better to see him, in a different way.At leats, he is not playing that uncle, which he does in every film of his!Satish Kaushik as Mango, is equally good!He lends a commendable support.
THE STORY:
Jaswinder comes to New York, USA, from India, and has big dreams and wishes.He shares a room with Mango.One day, he meets Sally, in bar.Sally is also a singer, in a bar.He tells her that she can expose her voice than her body.After sometime, Sally falls in love with Jaswinder and proposes him.Of course, Jaswinder accepts this proposal, and both of them marry each other, without caring that one of them is western and the other one is eastern.One fine day, Jaswinder gets a call from his homeland, India, that his father, Jatta Singh Bedi, has a heart attack.When, he goes there, his father asks him to marry Richa.Due to circumstances, he marries Richa, without letting any one know that he is married to a white girl!Jaswinder goes back to USA for sometime, and to give him a surprise, Jatta Singh Bedi with Richa goes to USA.Now, Jaswinder, is in a big, big problem, and his life gets OUT OF CONTROL!
THE WORK OF THE CREW:
As a producer, Vashu Bhagnani has left no stone unturned to make his film deifferent, despite having a same old storyline.He casted, a Hollywood actress, from the famous tele serial ’’Baywatch’’.He arranged the audio release function of this film, in an aeroplane (what a different way, na!).His efforts haven`t gone wasted, because the film gives you this fresh feeling.Apurva Asrani`s direction, is alright.Some scenes like, I mentioned above, Jatta Singh Bedi`s and Sally`s meeting, have been executed very well, and have alot of potential to entertain the viewers, but some scenes are unimpressive, like the unimpressive climax.Still, this is his first effort, which is not so bad!Screenplay, is fine, which supports the film well!Editing is alright, but this fact cannot be denied, that the film dragged a bit in the second half.Story, is as old as hills, which can remind you of ’’Ghrwali Baharwali’’ etc.Cinematography, is brilliant, capturing the beautiful scenery of New York.I wish there would have been the World Trade Centre too, but never mind, New York still looks beautiful!Anand Raj Anand`s music, is good!’’USA VICH L.A’’, is the best of the lot, but other songs are good too, like ’’Mujhe Choo Le’’which is very sexy and looks like an English pop song!Though, the film could`ve done easily without some songs, but the songs are picturised well, especially those on Brande Rodericks!
ON THE WHOLE:
’’Out Of Control’’, is a complete entertainer, which will make you feel fresh, great, and relaxed.It has its moments of fun, and all the masalas, to entertain, and what can be better if you have to see the baywatch babe, speaking in Hindi, and dancing like Madhuri Dixit!Fun movie!
