Offers poor services and customer care is pathetic

Oxigen wallet was introduced much before demonetization and was initially used as a recharge and bill payment options. Now, they offer a number of services through their website and app and one can do mobile and d2h recharges, bill payments, money transfer to bank and mobile, online shopping through various e-commerce websites. To be honest I never find this app of a great use mainly because I faced a lots of issue while loading money to the wallet. If we compare it with other wallets available they are far behind in comparison with their competitors.

The first thing I hate about this wallet is they charge a processing fee if money is added to the wallet through debit and credit cards. They normally charge 1.5% if money is loaded through a card. However, money added through net banking is free. As I use cards most of the time for shopping and add money to wallet, I find this wallet a bit expensive and time consuming. The other issue with them is they don’t provide great offers, discounts and cash backs. I am using them since a long time and never find a single offer of any interest. They barely provide any cash back and if I do a transaction with them I never get any benefit. Also, they are not tied up with all the leading online e-commerce portals and I found it very hard to shop online through them.

After demonetization every e-wallet company is providing services to pay through mobile on grocery stores and other outlets. However, oxigen wallet is not accepted everywhere in India, even I tried to pay through them in metro cities but every merchant told me they don’t accept this wallet. The wallet can be accessed through website and app but I felt their interface as very poor and slow and just to complete a transaction it takes a lot of time and most of the time their are issues as sometime money is deducted from the bank but the wallet balance shows zero. Also, the OTP takes a long time to deliver on the mobile. Overall the product quality is not up to the Industry standards and a lot of improvements need to done.

The delivery time with them is also very slow. A number of times I did transactions with them availing cashback offers. But I never got the cash back on time and it usually reflects after more than a week. Also, if you buy anything online through them then also they take a lot of time to process the order and also their tracking system is not up to the mark.

As they do have many drawbacks at the moment but even then it is a reliable company to deal with. It does takes a lot of time to process orders and requests. However, the customer’s confidential details are always safe while dealing with them. They also provide a special feature wherein any customer can convert his payback points into cash. They calculate 4 points as 1 rupee. So, if anyone have payback points then it is a good option to convert them into cash and do transactions with that money.

I am also not satisfied with the customer service. A number of times I called them to raise issues and I experienced the customer team as inefficient in dealing with customer queries. Also, they don’t have a toll free number and it costs me a lot of money every time I call them. They also don’t reply to emails instantly and one has to wait for a week to get a response from them. So, overall a poor customer support.

I have attached a screen shot of my Oxigen wallet, so you can see how the interface looks like.
