Rishtey mein hum sabh k baap hain...naam hai PAA.

The much hyped Paa has landed in the Indian cinemas and have already set the standards very high for all the other actors to follow. It has created a benchmarks that Indians are not going get entertained anymore with unmatured comedies (Kambaqt Ishq) and yawning teen movies (Ajab Prem....) We need something hard core and AB has just brought a gift to all of us in form of Paa.

After 40 years of a long and everlasting filmy career, AB would agree that this film is his one of the best till date and you can see the actual effort that must have went through to make this legendary film. Indeed the directors has put in the efforts, but the real hero is our Shehanshah- AMITABH BACHCHAN.

Plot: No I am not going into what Progeria is but simply put its an genetic disorder due to which the victim grows 5 times faster then his/her actual age. Auro, (AB) is one such child born to Vidya (Vidya Balan) Auro is full of life, he plays cricket, solves algebra problems and cracks many one liners. He has got the positive attitude towards life from his mother. Vidya is Gynec and lives in Lucknow with her mother. The father of this lucky child is Amol (AB baby) who discarded the child way back when both (Amol and Vidya) used to study in Cambridge University. Amol is son of a successful politician (Paresh Rawal) and is set to join politics later after completing his studies of political science. Vidya is a 21st Century girl and is studying medicine and is tend to become a Gynec. The practicality of the current generation led Amol to choose his career over a wife and a family. Vidya choose to study and give birth to the child. The destiny has its own plans and the born child is the victim of a diseases which very very rare. Today, after 12-13 years Amol, is an MP and Vidya is a successful Gynec. Auro meets Amol when the later is called up in the school. Both share a good lively friendship and don’t know that they both are related to each other from ways they don’t know.... Will Auro, play any role to make the parents meet? Will Auro know that Amol is his father? The answers to these questions make this film.

Now comes the performance.... No doubt that AB was the best of the lot. It was him that the film was totally based and centered on. HE CLEANLY SWEEPS THE SHOW.... I am sure that this film is going to be the Indian entry to the Oscars.

Next, is AB baby. He looks so refreshing such as a watermelon from the fridge. Superb dialogues delivery and well balanced act all the way through. But honestly I felt he missed the climax part. He was not that great in those creepy scenes the way any other actor would have been...otherwise overall ---superb.

Vidya Balan has come a long way from the TV serial Hum Paanch till Paa. She is tremendously talented and is in a total grip in this one too. Her dialogues delivery is just great and she look very pretty too. Days are not far when people say her to be the next Madhuri in the Indian cinema. (Folks, I know that no can replace Madhuri, but after every Sachin there is a Sehwag..isn’t it) She has acted so well to in some scenes that she actually clearly covered AB and his baby too..... Kudos Vidya.

Paresh is one such actor that you can only expect good from him and this versatile actor does that in his every film. Splendid actor!

The mother’s role of Vidya was also solidly played by the actress (Dont know her name) She might also bag an award for the best supporting role for Paa.

Music of the film was ok and as per the requirement. Background music of the film was outstanding with an exception in the climax scene. I felt that 10-15 minutes could have been handled in a different way. It was not bad but lack some substance. Background music over here was somewhat average and could have been more penetrating…

Cinematography was splendid and the locations abroad and in India were captured very well. The camera men deserve a pat on his back for capturing such beautiful locales and making some scenes just memorable.

The experience of watching Paa was indeed good but hold on..... it was not the best too. So don’t expect it to be one where you would feel that you are going to watch a film of a life time. Its a good and a different story from others and you are going to have some different experience... THAT’S IT! The story has touched a lot of topics at the same time, which have been handled fantastically well. This aspect of projecting so many things at the same time may be in my opinion has somehow overshad
