I went by Google review rating and handed over by 12 years old wet grinder for repair-Patra Bhandar near Vidyapeeta Blore. I had been told by the sales rep that I will be given a call and my permission would be sought before having it repaired.
I was not ready to spend more than 500/- as it is an old grinder and had informed them too that if the cost of repair is more than 500/-, I might as well go for an exchange offer. I got a call saying my grinder is repaired and the cost of repair is around 1200+300 estimation cost = around 1500/-. No one from their shop had called me and taken my concert to get it repaired. I tried contacting the store 2-3 times and I never had a proper response when I raised my concern of why repair was done without asking me.
After reaching the shop today(25-Feb-2022), I did question the sales person about my concern and they were helpless and sorry. I asked them to show me a new grinder to exchange with that of my old repaired one.
I saw the new one, but the box was open and that was the only piece. So decided not to buy that but pay the repair cost and take my old grinder back. This is exactly the sales woman there also had agreed, before showing me the new grinder.
I was being insulted very badly by the store manager-Suresh. He assumed that I am trying to take my grinder without paying for service. He did not make smallest of the effort to learn the conversation I had with the sales lady, he started unnecessarily yelling and threatening me. He said he would take back my grinder and reverse/regress the repair done and then give me after 2 days. “Without paying I will not give your Grinder. Do Whatever you want to do”. These are words he spoke out of assumption that I am taking my grinder for free of cost after unconsented repair they have done. It took me some time to understand what made him to be so rude to me. Worst attitude and worst Customer service.
The 3 other staff other than this fellow, who were fighting amongst themselves regarding, not handling my grinder service issue properly. Not sure where this yelling person was at that time. On top of it, he advised me to mend my attitude as it would cost me going ahead. He first has to learn
1) How to handle his shop with team of 3 ??
2) Then learn how he should speak to a lady,
3) How to talk a to customer.
4) Most of all learn facts before opening his mouth.
Horrible person.
Trying for an opportunity to speak to their owner, would let him know that his pains and investment are being made sure to handle inversely by this so-called big mouth, ill-mannered manager-Suresh.
However, my takeaway from this incident is. Do not get to this place ever in my life nor would suggest this to anyone.
