I wanted to shift a single item(Washing Machine) from Pune to Mumbai. Unfortunately this turned out to be a big problem as the distance was too short as well as the load was too low.
Have used Agarwal Packers thrice in the past with good experiences - tried them first - got
a quote of 4k(for a WM worth 10k)! When I called again a few days later, they refused. Similar big names in M&Packers refused to send one item.
Had to try the local packers - the main problem here is reliability. It would be cheap, but at a high risk.
Just googled and found their website - called them up, got a quote. They were frank, to the point. They told me on the face that my WM could be sent only when they get another order for Mumbai, so that they could club both. 2 days later they called me, said they have one for the next day.
Picked up my WM next day morning - packing done in 15 mins and transported to Mumbai within the day. Best aspect of their work - they kept updating me every 3-4 hours.
Even a player of Agarwal level did not provide such service. Definitely gonna risk them with a bigger distance & load next time.
