Media freedom rules.....

First of all, I am glad that the movie can managed to be shown. It is the triumph of freedom. The lengthy disclaimer at the beginning should stop unhappy people from protesting(if they are still unhappy, they can protest by not showing up at the cinema).

The cinema hall was packed when I arrived. Normally, I prefer to wait for a few more days but this time I rushed into Ekkamai on the first day.

For the plot, they shouldn’t really start the story with the bad guys team. The movie really really shouldn’t foreground Alauddin into spotlight. For the performance, I do not know how Padmavati could fall in love with King Ratan. We hardly see his emotion.

For the music, I do expect  a lot more than this.

To sum up, the protester did really promote this movie for us. For overall, it does not dishonor the rajput. Since the King has maintained his integrity.  Moreover, it is Padmavati to perform Sati ritual. That is the act of honor. The one who should get angry is the descendant of the Mogul dynasty since none of them was portrayed as a good person.

Plus, Padmavati was imported from Sinhala. I am sure that people behind the protest was Nagmati’s relatives. You are too envious of Padmavati’s beauty. Nagmati, the first wife, should be the one to blamed. I am not convinced that the priest came to see the act of love of their rulers. I doubted that the black magic was from the order of Nagmati. At least, we learned that it is not true story.

Padmavati was just a representation of the Sufi’s poetry. It may not be made up to our expectation. But, at least, it shows that India still has some kind of freedom that even the BJP cannot stop this movie.
