This movie portrays the darker side of Celebrities (or High Class) life style. Movie discusses issues like child prostitution, extra-marital affairs, drugs, homosexuality all as a part of their life style. Its not a new theme but the presentation is new and gripping.
As the theme is already been discusses a lot, I like to jump directly on following aspects of movie.
1) Direction : Direction wise this movie holds the audience well. In spite of a little drag in the first part , it has come out as a good craft. Scene integrity was very well balanced.
2) Acting : Well the characters were casted in such a way that according to me scope of acting was very less. Even the protagonist of the movie Konkana (who is playing as a page 3 reporter) didnt have much oppurtunity to perform. She was casted as an absolute normal girl, and at no moment she was supposed to show any sort of extreme emotions. Even if those expression would have been included , it was not going to impact a lot.
3) Music : I think music part was good. Except one song most of them were slow charming songs. Lyrics were more meaningful specially in case of kitne ajeeb rishte hain yahan par
4) Social Message: Well I do think, this movie gives a social message to everybody. What everybody dreams of (Flashy Life Style) is not the way it looks like. Do keep your ambitions high, but ’high’ and ’page 3’ should not be confused with each other.
But the ultimate dialogue in movie was this philosiohical statement.
’’Life it too short . Dont Waste it’’
But Page 3 wont be a box office hit. Can do well in metrolpolean cities. But not a mass movie.
