Me and my husband stayed in Pagoda Resorts for 2 days and 2 nights. It was a very good experience. The hotel crew are very hospitable and helping. We got a standard room for Rs. 1350/- per night which was very decent. Generally, according to my observation, hotel rooms in Kerala are very expensive. I feel they are over rated. The same kind of room with the same kind of service will be available in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu for probably Rs. 1000 or little less than that. However, we liked the service of the people.
The room which we initially got had a defective AC. On complaining, they immediately offered us a different room with all the facilities. It was quick and easy. We can utilize the swimming pool as long as we are there. It was complimentary. They also have speed boat services for a round around the back waters. This was also very good and enjoyable. No hassles at all. We did not like the rates of the restaurant. We felt it was little expensive. We also got a steam bath from the ayurvedic centre at pagoda. But it was not as expected. The service was bad and did not give any value for money. The rooms in the centre were badly maintained and the experience was also not good. We paid Rs. 300 for nothing.
Overall, pagoda resorts is a very good place to stay at Alapuzha and I recommend it to whoever is visiting Alleppey.
