A real Paheli

Paheli is a good movie though it can’t be recommended to watch more than once. You have high hopes seeing name’s like Anmol Palekar, Rani Mukherji and Shahrukh Khan but unfortunately the film doesn’t live upto it’s expectaions.

Though I’ve heard from people that often ghosts do indeed fall in love with humans it’s a bit hard to believe I until it actually happens to you so likewise it’s hard to believe the movie. However everyone has acted quite naturally and you get a feel that they are all rajhastani’s.(or wherever they’re from.)

Lachi (Rani Mukherji) gets married to Kishna Lal (Shahrukh Khan) the son of Bhanwar Lal (Anupam Kher) however Lachi doesn’t get to live her dreams of being a married woman. Kishan Lal leaves the morning after his marriage for some business leaving Lachi to live a lonely life. But what Lachi experience’s is the most unexpected event of her life.

A ghost that has fell head over heels for her transforms himself into Kishan. The way he convinces his father that he is ’’kishan’’ is funny. The funny thing is that the real Kishan starts to miss everything about home including lachi and back home the nice thing is that the fake Kishan tells Lachi the truth and even after knowing the truth she accepts him. The amount of love the ghost has for Lachi is sweet. The :fake’’ Kishen makes everything back home and they all live happily until the real Kishen come’s back. At the end Lachi and the real Kishan get back togather but with the soul of the ghost and the body of the real Kishen.

Overall the musical trackand the acting is ok. The movie is overall a 5.5/10.

Hopefully my review will help you understand the movie better.
