Pakwan is a relative new comer to Ooty, but by far the very best place for lunch or dinner.

Its a very pleasant place to sit, with stylish decor and the service is attentive, friendly and polished.
Serve sizes are large and one gravy dish is plenty for two people to share with breads so it costs even less than some other very ordinary places.
The food is delicious, serving ware very attractive and the environment is very clean.
A range of North Indian, Italian and Chinese dishes are offered.
A large paneer Khurchran gravy 220Ra with two breads paratha(paratha is especially good) 60Rs, and garlic naan 65Rs costs 378Rs( including 2% VAT and 6% service charge) and this is plenty for two people.
The Shahi Makhni Paneer is even tastier, 210Rs and good with a couple of parathas( again plenty for two people).
The Paneer Manchurian Starter and Dal Tadka also looked good on other tables.
Rajesh heads up the team and he is very lovely and helpful.
Open daily 12-3:30pm 6:30-10:30pm, it really is the best place to head in Ooty for a nice meal.
