Hi guys, my first review, and that too on my favorite subject.
I bought mine in Mar 2003, have driven around 40, 000 Kms without a major problem.
But I must say I could not find a single guy who would advise me to buy a palio when I was doing my research. They had points, low mileage, fiat’s standing, service, high price. But I did not see any other car in this segment beating this car in the market. There were same old boxes on wheels with no sense of design, more importance to mileage and such things. nobody would even talk of driving pleasure, style, technology.
I was decided and finally I did buy a Palio ELX 1.2. It has been a real good experience since then, in terms of service, reliability, driving pleasure.... just about everything.
It is comfortable both for city driving and long drives, but I would say it suits people who do a lot of inter-city driving. Airconditioning is good too, you feel comfortable sitting in the car after 1-2 kms of driving.
I would suggest not to buy the black or galaxy black color because its too difficult to manage and scratches get prominent too easily.
All in all, a good buy but do consider these things before you pick one.
Mileage of around 11-14(i heard NV gives you more)
Low resale value in the market.
Service network is not very strong.
