I am an owner of a Fiat Palio and driven it around for sometime. It is an excellent car. The drive is the best part about the car.
Not just that, the car is extremely safe. My personal experience involving an accident with the car, prompts me to say that.
The compromise with the vehicle is a relatively lower mileage when compared to lighter cars like Zen or Santro.
Coming over to the negative part of the whole proposition:
it is the dealers and the customer management by the company itself.
The dealers treat you if you are being graced with heaven if they are even hearing you, forget serving you. They are extremely irresponsible when coming to repairs and servicing the vehicle. In my case, once they had to change the fuel sender unit. These buggers did not bother to seal the tank after fixing the unit. Explosive situation
The company does not treat you better. While other companies believe in interaction and calling their customers over interactive fun sessions. Customer management by your peanut seller is also far better than what the company does. It has records of who buys the car, and if the person has any feedback on the same.
I just hope they do something about this before they kill themselves and the beauty of product they have.
