Hi all,
I have been doing a lot of research on Palio car from the time the vehicle has been launched around the later half of year 2001. It was out of curiousity that why a normal small car attracts so much of attention. Does it deserve it?
After all the research I am now owning a Fiat Palio 1.2 NV Petrol Sports version. The car is fully loaded with features with plush interiors. Palio has features which are at par with features that an international car provides. It is specially suited for Indian roads and also with real driving comfort. This a real good care for long drives with good leg room. I agree that the earlier version (not the NV version) had its own problem of poor mileage, about 8-10 kms/litre in city condition with A/c on.
In the NV version it is worth appreciating that Fiat has really worked on this drawback. Believe me I have tested the mileage of Palio NV and gives me mileage of 13 kms/litre. I have tested this mileage over a month, it has been consistent. Needless to mention one needs to be good driver to achieve this mileage (am I boasting???). It is a heavy vehicle and still the speed and the grip on the road (because of 14 alloy wheels) is awesome. It is fitted with New Air Dam under the front bumper, which enhances the aerodynamics of Palio.
Its 130 CC Airconditioner provides a superlative cooling which evenly cools the entire car. Here are some of the phenomenal features of Palio:
