North Goa is where the maximum fun is.. Its has super beaches like Calangute, Baga and Anjuna to name a few..It is advisable to stay in Calangute (55km north of Airport) as it has many reasonable options to Five star resorts...
One can take a bike on rent from Calangute chowk and move around freely in the north Goa Area...
For non-Vegetarian there are unlimited good food options.. For vegetarian I recomend Plantain Leaf near Calangute Chowk..
Capital Region is the Panaji region where you get feel of a beautiful city.. The Boat ride is the highlight of Panaji as they take you to a journey of dance and masti for full one hour..Its a good place for shopping as well.. Dont forget to buy Cashew’s from here..Panaji region is 13 KM south from Calangute.
South Goa--Some 30 Km south from Panaji you find city of Margao (pronounced madgaon) South Goa is quite and relaxing place.. There are many 5 star resorts in this area.. The main beach here is Colva beach which is quite clean...
Further south apprx 40km you find Palolem beach.. This beach is beautiful like many other beaches and has very less crowd... There are very few good staying options here..You find quite a lot of backpackers here staying in tree houses for longer periods...I would recomend not to stay here but visit it for day if you are around Madgaon region...
