Beware of retina specialist Dr. Surendranatha Reddy. He permanently damaged my 65 year mother’s right eye with 3 surgeries for retina which all three surgeries done in 3 months. The damage caused is irreversible and lost previous 30%vision. While we go for retina, he suggested cataract surgery first. When the retina itself is detached and there is no nerve connection, what is the need of cataract? We were of ignorance here. He also did gas filling surgery. All these procedure he did not inform us earlier when consultation. Gas filling surgery he did as emergency and did not given time for second opinion. We realized earlier 30%of eye sight is lost, he told its like teared cloth and we cant do anything further. When we go to second opinion eye scan, we came to know retina oil filling has cavity and oil is not proper in eye and it spilled to behind retina. In this hospital mostly budgeted and poor people comes. But he got good money from us with 3 surgeries.Money we can earn. BUT IRREVERSIBLE EYE DAMAGE done by Dr. SURENDRANATHA REDDY CAN GIVE BACK? Getting less money from poor people and give importance to trainees. Shame on my ignorance that they have used my mother’s eye for trainees learning without our knowledge.
