I would say I am very unhappy to the way patients are treated at Panacea or you can say hospitals in Bangalore. I would go further and say the same about doctors in Bangalore. I dont see any emotional feeling for the patients.
My father was hospitalised in Panace at morning 2am. At 4am Doctors did a CT scan and said he is fine nothing to worry; we will discharge him by 11.30am. However at 6.30am my father has gone to Coma. Doctors say he has had a brain stroke which completely fails me to understand how can it happen to a healthy person. They said if we had done an MRI scan we could have found the problem however the doctors never advised for that. Also they started the medication for Brain stroke once he went to coma but they did not send him to some other hospital for operation. They say that he was having low BP and we did not want to take a risk and this statement of their has probably cost my dad’s life. It was a risk anyhow to keep him on medication since chances were very less however if they had sent him to some other hospital for operations then my dad would have probably lived.
Let’s go flashback; 6 months ago i.e. during August to Oct 2010 my father did several visits to Jayadeva and Nimhans hospital for having weakness in nerves and walking. We did all kind of tests and doctors said that due to old age his nerves are weak. However they did not advice for MRI scan if they had advised then probably we would have found a clot developing on his brain.
I feel so helpless that I could not save my dad. I pity all the people who go to these hospitals with the hope of saving their parents or child.
Please God give some manners and dignity to these hospitals and doctors
