I got my 2 ton Panasonic CS CU - YC24MKY-3 ac installed this saturday. This is a 2 ton machine and 3 star rated. I was amazed and delighted to see it’s cooling power. It cools so fast. I couldn’t believe it. The first time it takes around 20 to 30 minutes to cool my 275 sq feet 16 feet high room depending on the outside temp condition.
Then it switches on and off every 10 mins or so. My room is exposed to direct sunlight and is west facing with 2 huge windows. It has a manglore tile roof above. So it gets reasonable heated in the summer. In fact at night I have now started keeping the temperature at 26 because keeping it at 24 is like freezing me and the next day all of us caught cold. The power consumption also seems OK.
It consumed around 4 units after keeping on continuously for 2 hours. So 2 units per hour. Overall I am impressed, but let’s see how it performs going forward.
