In peak summers in Delhi, the refrigerator fails to cool enough. On the coldest setting, the water and drinks are just slightly cold, NOT chilled. The refrigerator fails to chill the drinks even when when the drinks are left overnight.
The technician explained - this is the feature and the refrigerator is supposed to cool the drinks only so much.
Very well - but then in winters, it does make the drinks chilled.
Conclusion - the feature story was an eye wash. The refrigerator is under powered and is unable to chill things properly.
I have had other refrigerators in past. On my Godrej refrigerator, if I turned the knob to coldest, the drinks would become chilled in few hours and if left overnight in that setting, one may get a thin layer of ice.
The Panasonic refrigerator is incapable of doing this. NOT because of some inbuilt feature; but simply due to design flaws.
