Panasonic GD 68

I bought this new Panasonic GD68 phone about 15 days ago for Rs.9900/- with Bill and 1 year warranty. In the beginning the phone felt good and I got attracted with its 256 color display.

The Biggest problem with this phone is its battery. The battery is week and goes down in 24 hours even with very less talk time. If you are the person who need longer battery life and good talk time then this phone is not for you.

This phone also have one more mysterious problem, it reboots/restarts (turn-off and then on) itself at random times automatically. One time I was writing an SMS message and I received a call so I press yes button and phone went down, this have happened 4-5 times randomly.

This phone have lame 16-Polyphonic Ring Tones along with other 5 normal and 2 voice ringers. The Polyphonic Ring Tones are very low in sound and you can’t hear them when you are in car, train or in crowdie area. Also I don’t like the Polyphonic Ring Tones and they sounds pretty like Christmas booboo (toy).

In Gd68 and some other models, Panasonic have introduced the joystick in middle instead of 4 way navigation button. Joystick is not very good for navigation and its pretty slow while editing texts etc.

This phone also don’t display Nokia Picture messages but it does support MMS which is not yet standard between mobile phone users.

Here is the brief of what I have experienced after buying this phone.

I also own the Panasonic Gd93 cell phone and its much much better then this one, this one is only smart in looks but not in performance.

If you need stylish, sleek and light weight phone then this phone is for you but if you need longer talk time then this phone not for you.
