Tiny & Useful

I got this Panasonic GD55 as a gift from one of my brother.

I have really impressed by its size and design in the first site itself... love at first site!! I have used Nokia 3212, Philips Fisio, Nokia 8510 before this. Nokia 8510 was too a good one but it is quite heavier than GD55.

Pros:

Almost all features bundled in tiny cell like GD55. It is very easy to carry; light weight, small as match box!!! It has massive 250 address entry space with grouping and ringtone assigning options. Option to store in SIM card as well as in cell itself. Singal reception, audio quality is excellent. Excellent battery backup. Ringtones are very unique ones. Volume of the ringtones are surprisingly high. There is option for composing own tunes; but bit tricky; not as simple as Nokia’s. Software is quite well designed; easy to use; managed within nine main icon based menus. Easy to lock key. Good screen savers available. Optional T9 enabled text editors.

Cons:

Background light is not good enough to read. Text fonts are too small or light. Very difficult to read while travelling. Address book search need bit longer procedure. Back cover/battery has become lose; sometimes leads switch off status. No downloadable Indian ringtones, screen savers available :-(.

Summary:

Overall, GD55 is a feature bundled functional cell phone and very useful for those who are looking for a practical usage. Only fancy options like additional ringtone, screen saver are only absent which are not really a issue at all.
