I am basically a electronic gizmo crazy guy. I’ve been using the services of a cellular co. for more than 2 and a half years now and since I’ve subscribed to one, I must’ve changed atleast 8-9 handsets till date. I might be sounding nuts, but thats the truth. One could say I punt on the handsets or whatever. But the truth is that I’ve been changing handsets like almost every 2 months or so. I began with the Erricsson, then I used the Nokia, Panasonic, Motorola, Sony, etc, u name it and I’ve used it. During this stint of mine, I’ve also used the Panasonic GD 93. I think the instrument is too flashy with those wierd different choices of colours for the screen a user has, that too u won’t come across a sober colour to use, specially if you do not like Jazzy stuff. The reception is nothing too great to talk about. I’ve had my handset dropping signals very often when everyone elses around would show clear and strong signal reception bars. The ring tones might be nice, some of them, they are O.K.
I have a very heavy cell usage, something like approx. 3 to 4 hours everyday. Needless of sayin, that the GD 93 would’nt last more than half the day through. So, to sum it all, I would conclude its after all, not that good an instrument to go for. I don’t know how much a GD 93 would cost currently, but am sure one would get a better handset in the same range of cost.
