Review: Panasonic introduced GD 87 few months back. This was the first camera phone by Panasonic. In the first attempt only they have received tremendous response for this calm shape mobile phone. In the Asian market the same phone is sold under GD 88 name though the inside software is same that of GD87. Apart from its normal cell phone features the added feature is camera function. I have tested lot many camera phones but the kind of resolution this phone you get is very impressive. The images are very clear without any fading effect. It also has a zooming feature .the most important feature is on front side steel mirror has been provided so that owner can take his photo without any problem. Two new games are also available.Out of which herding sheep is quiet impressive. Unfortunately Panasonic doesn’t allow you to download any new games. The cell phone features are almost same as GD 95 with mouse key slightly modified in this model. the one feature which is very unique is after taking a photo one can assign this to any tel no. this means when that particular person calls up you can see his photo along with name on screen. You can always remember the person of your choice. The polyphonic tunes are not that much effective in the sense not loud but her you can download the tunes form net of your choice. With help of G.P.R.S. function (depends on your net operator) you can surf wap sites much faster as compare to earlier models. Even sms can be send much faster way. MMS is also another function by which you can send photo instantly to your friend or to any e-mail accounts. The weight is also light with battery lasting for two days even for heavy users but for a day only if you are surfing. it ahs got infrared port also through which one can send or receive pictures up to 40kb capacity or even documents of 50kb size also can be carry or stored in the phone (word or excel etc.) but these documents cannot be read on cell or cannot opened .only when you transfer them back to pc or laptop you can open. It has got memory capacity of 1MB. the prices are slashed down recently and this phone is available for rs 16000/- in gray market in Mumbai
