Last week I bought PANA FZ35 From photo circle bangalore and I am very much glad that I made this purchase I read lot of reviews of FZ35 and checked few pics at FLICKR FZ35 Pool too then I finally bought this little beauty. :)
few days back I went to lalbag garden and I took few snaps and did some R &D then I got excellent results even under low lights. the camera is really amazing and accessing the menus is very easy and settings changing will take very few seconds with the help of Q.Menu dedicated button.
Initially I was little worried that FZ35 may not produce DSLR like portraits:( but when I came to know about camera settings then I was blown away with the results! FZ35 produced awesome portraits which is almost equivalent to DSLR!
Regarding the Zoom range the camera extends upto 18x for 12MP but once you reduce the file size from 12mp to 3MP then you will get a whopping 35.2x Zoom! I have taken some moon shots also where I can see the each and every details on the moon! man what a camera it is. :)
The Macro capabilities of FZ35 is also amazing it really brings the life to the photo awesome macro photos you will get wHEN you switch to Macro option. I took some tele end macro shots and the results are really good compared to any other camera in this range.
The Most fascinating thing regarding FZ35 is its IA mode I dont know what technology Panasonic has used but IA Mode is one of the best automatic settings I have seen so far! if you put it IA Mode and focus it to a flower just press shutter(half) button it will automatically switch to macro mode and suddenly focus it to a person and zoom it then it will automatically switch to portrait mode! Damn its so awesome I will give 5/5 on this one really a great work by panasonic.
the Next thing which I liked it its image stabilization. most of the people said its not useful but when I went to shoot birds then I realized how imp it is. FZ35 has very good power IOS technology which helps lot when you will be @ 25x or more.
Last but not least is its price which is 16k! with almost all DSLR’s options(P, S, A, M) with a very good IQ light weight, good battery I am very happy with the selection and the effort which I put to select this one. I always select the best of the best and I am happy with the choice again. :)
I had lot cannon friends who told me to go for sx20 but when I tested the IQ results I found my FZ35 is far better and suites my requirements. :)
