I had been looking for a good Digital Camera as a replacement for my BenQ DC 3410(2 Mega-pixel). During the Dubai Shopping Festival, I bought the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS70 Digital Camera. I did consider Sony but for the price that I paid for this camera – I believe that this is simply too good.
Besides, the price factor this Camera offered me almost all the features that other expensive Brands were offering and maybe more. I found the Camera to be extremely user friendly and the menu options are very functional and very easy to understand and use.
The Camera has 7.2 Mega-pixel resolutions CCD with 3X optical zoom and 4X digital zoom. The Camera has a 2” Colour TFT LCD.
The Camera has Panasonic’s "Intelligent ISO Control" system, which detects whether or not the subject is moving and automatically raises the ISO setting, allowing the camera to shoot at at higher shutter speed when required. This feature alongwith Panasonic’s MEGA O.I.S(Optical Image Stabilizer) helps keep your shots steady by automatically detecting and compensating for hand-shake.
The DMC-LS70 is powered by two AA batteries. Each camera comes with two Panasonic Oxyride AA batteries, which lets users take approximately 60 percent more shots than available with ordinary alkaline batteries.
The camera also accepts large-capacity SDHC memory cards, giving you more flexibility in shooting and recording.

I have been using the Camera for about six months and the snapshot quality is superb.
The Panasonic Oxyride AA batteries last long and I find carrying additional AA batteries a great relief during holidays than to bother about charging the battery.
