I recommend the Panasonic PVDV200 to almost anyone. The price is decent for a digital camcorder with still photo mode. When I was shopping for my camcorder this particular one met all the qualifications I was shopping for and stayed under my $1000 price limit. I ended up with the camera, a complete five year warranty, an extra battery, carrying case and tripod all for under $1000. The picture stabilitization takes shakiness out of the videos. You can go back anywhere in your video and make it a photograph. the menu make the features simple and easy to use. I am trusting my camera to capture my infant grow and learn, i’m sure you wont be disappointed in yours!
