I had been looking for a TV for a long time. And I wanted a flat one. After a long wait I happened to visit the Times Exhibition at Bandra Kurla Complex. Many Brands of TVs were displayed. But the quality of picture that they were displaying was really sick and they never bothered to rectify their input to the TVs inspite of telling them that I wouldnt know the quality unless they rectified their input ( grainy picture). I stopped by the Panasonic Stall and they had perfect quality. I was pretty much impressed. And I bought the Panasonic TC-29PS78W.
TV came after 5 days, and I was happy about it Untill I felt something wrong with the picture sometimes. Sometimes the left a right side of the screen went shaky like smoke rising. I did my research and realised that when I put up the volume with a little more bass and sub woofer turned on the left and right of the screen start dancing with a smokey look. I called the dealer and they have been helping me. Technicians came checked... I demanded a new piece. They did it. Again the same problem, Again the technicians came. Replaced... The 4th replacement came in and I checked it and sent it back right away. Everytime the problem gets even worse. And again the tech guy checked and went. Its been 2 and half month now since I made my purchase. I visited the dealer as they were beginning to think that theres something wrong with me. I turned on a tv out there and showed them the problem. Im surprised that they say no one has complained about this model.. Strange thing is that they told me and agreed that the whole lot of TVs has this problem and people arent aware after using it for a while now.. I see no answer from the panasonic guys. The dealer has agreed to replace the tv with another brand. Youre paying for it.. Better be worth every buck.
I must say picture quality is surely better than others that I compared at the dealers shop.
