This Japanese product is a real treat for the wholesome entertainment of the family. The IPS panel is excellent in producing the picture and the contrast level is really good even with standard settings.
At least, you need to try it with the component video (set it to progressive scan mode), to explore the video quality it can produce. It’s simply superb. I tried it with one original DVD and compared it with pc which is having 17" SAMSUNG LCD monitor. I can’t believe the excellence of this tv in video quality compared even with the pc monitor. It made me to reconsider the opinion as SAMSUNG monitors are capable of producing good quality picture. So you don’t even think about HD picture with HDMI input.
Even with SD(normal cable or dth) picture, it did comparatively well. If the quality of the channel is very poor, change the aspect ratio of video in tv to 4:3. This will make sure you are getting good picture.
The sound is simply superb. Even the surround sound has two setting, which can be set as per the room size and the distance from the tv.
The service part I’m not sure, as it is not giving any problem and I believe it will continue to do so for another few years.
The support side, try to purchase it from the Panasonic Brand Shops. I don’t know why but other retailers are not giving enough support for Panasonic products even though they were not able highlight any negative thing about the product.
