Lets see...I am writing this review because I have not written many and since I have seen this movie I will give a short review...of course from my PERSPECTIVE
why did you watch this movie?
I was in India for vacation this summer. So my family along with my aunt, uncle, and cousins decided to kill time and see a malayalam movie! Watching movies in theaters are always fun! Its a time to enjoy and spend time with family and friends laughing, crying, getting angry, or loving! We decided to check out Dileeps movie..Pandipadda!
Comment on the cast and the plot
ok plot first...
The story is about a real estate broker(Bhuvan) who bought the landl that has been disputed by 2 Tamil families. He learns that the land belongs to warring families(Karuppusamy and Pandidorai) He runs to his old partner (Bhasi) for help. They come up with a plan. The broker makes his way into the house of Pandidorai. He works to have Pandidorai and his mother happy with him. They begin to love him. Trouble occurs when Bhuvan meets Meena(Karuppusamys daughter). One thing he didnt know is that Pandidorai was also eyeing Meena.
Plot has to do with the 30 acres of land, the disputing people, and the lil love triangle.
Cast
Bhuvan-Dileep*His comedy act still remains the same. I get tired of the same thing but he did a decently comedy act.
Karuppusamy-Rajan.P.Dev*He plays a good evil guy. His performance was average maybe because its his common role.
Pandidorai-Prakash Raj*I liked his role. He had the scary role mixed with some humor especially when he trys to express his love to Meena.
Bhasi-Harishree Ashokan*His comedy act as he is known for was still funny although it is a repetitive feeling.
Meena-Navya Nair*Her playing hard to get was pretty well done. But she didnt do much but flirt here and there. I wont blame her because I guess that is the character.
Was the Movie able to keep you glued to the screen?
It was an entertaining movie but it also feels a waste of time. If you want story then the movie is not for you. If you want to kill time and feel like in the mood for some comedy(not necesarily original) then go ahead and give Pandipadda a chance.
