If you are in Pune and plan to buy any TATA car from Pandit Auto do not do it even in your wildest dreams. First thing you would like to educate them is that there is some thing known as after sales service. This dealership takes the cake in the service department.
I have bought an INDICA V2 DLE from this dealer in Nov 2003. There was a noise in the exhaust coupler which I was told was ’’normal’’. After a few months it increased to terrifying proportions. So back went the car to the dealer it was so called greased and fixed. During my trip to Ratnagiri it came up again which was fixed by another tata deler by inserting ’’packing’’ .
I came back to Pune again to Pandit, where I demanded an explanation I was told there is no record of the complaint we never did any job on this car. During the first free servicing I gave all my complaints in writing not a single one was attended to, the car was just washed and given back.
During the second free servicing again I gave 5 defect reports (incidentally the silencer noise had come up again) only one was rectified. In adittion I gave them a computer print out on 2nd servicing scheduled maintainance.
No bolts were tightened, in as much the oil drain plug was left untightened after oil change. Leading to drop by drop leakage of oil. The silencer hanger was loose, The belt tensions were wrong(loose).
The AC condenser unit was not air cleaned, battery distilled water levels were not topped up, the list is endless, even the tire pressures were wrong.
So finally I have decided to try my luck at Mr. BU Bhandaris show room hope Ajay you will have better luck there.
