I still regret the day when I was enamored by Pantaloons but I am happy that I learnt a life-long lesson. I visited Pantaloons at Vashi, Mumbai Central, Thane & Hyderabad. The Quality of Service was uniform in all the stores - and that is Disgusting!!!
Rather than waxing eloquent, I will just bullet down some of the highlights of my experience at Pantaloons :
# After alteration, they just lost my Trousers. Imagine they charge Rs.1200/- for a pair of the same and Then getting tricked into buying a replacement which you dislike the most
# I was interested in buying premium Formal Wear for Client Meetings, the salesman glibly talked me into buying Turtles Brand - a Party & Casual Line
# While buying I was told alteration will take 45 min. Then after paying the bill, they said the tailor has gone for lunch & the job will take 2 hours. He paid least attention to stomping of my foot.
# Still Worse : Beware of their GREEN CARD SCHEME - Its a big CON !!! No benefits. Only some MEASLY discounts. Besides be prepared to get humiliated. When you reach your turn at the cash counter, be prepared to be told to get your GREEN CARD (What the heck!!!) stamped in the next queue & then return back to the former queue.
YEAH ALL THIS IS REAL!!!
# The Salesmen are dirty. Even Lnking Road Salesman are better dressed.
