Luxury, style, finesse--thy name is PARAMOUNT!

I am South Indian and proud that such an airline has taken wing in my own backyard. My husband and I travel first class on all International airlines regularly-including Singapore Airlines and British Airways. I find Paramount First has excelled that of these international carriers.

The valets are dressed impeccably. They greeted us with a smile at the airport in Chennai, relieved us of our luggage and proceeded swiftly to the check-in counters. I was surprised at the efficiency, because though there was a long queue that day in front of the Paramount counter, it was moving very fast. The check-in counter at Chennai was courteous and efficient. The valets had pleasing manners and escorted us at once to the lounge.  We were impressed at the valet service. Very nice cordial man who escorted us-even chatted with me in a very friendly way. Five thumbs up.

Now, the lounge isn’t very comfortable, but I guess that’s hardly the airline’s fault. We had french fries, sandwiches, fish stew and dosas. Good food. There were attentive Paramount staff positioned throughout the lounge. If we so much as rose from our seats, there would be a lady in black(smart uniforms!) to cater to our every need. Four thumbs up.

The aircraft bus wasn’t that great, but it was a brief ride with no hassles. But surprised to see no air-conditioning, with mostly standing space. The ground staff however, were again very courteous and efficient. Three thumbs up.

The aeroplane was stunning to say the least. Wide, spacious aisles. Super-comfortable seats, enough leg room that amazed me considering the compact exterior. Brand new Embraer Jets I was told. 5 thumbs UP!

The inflight meal was set on lovely bone china. An excellent steward(very pleasing personality) and airhostess served us. Felt like I was in a five-star restaurant really. Wah! What a meal! And after the lounge food too. Pampered by Paramount was right! Among other stuff, they had croissants that simply melted in your mouth. South Indian filter coffee was the highlight. The whole cabin was scented with it. Also, the dessert was a delicious walnut pie. The warmth of thecrew was simply astonishing and outstanding. They even beat Singapore Airlines by a mile, and on such a short flight! Five Thumbs Up!

Took away their in-flight magazine which was very tastefully done. Very Interesting articles interspersed with those that subtly reflected the airline’s goals and visions. Five thumbs up!

Landing in Thiruvananthapuram was gentle, but I do wish the captain could have said something. Foreign captain I suppose. Four thumbs up!

In all, a superlative and excellent experience. Promoted by a South Indian industrialist, this airline beats all its Northern and West Indian counterparts HANDS DOWN! Synonymous with style, elegance and luxury, they simply made our journey one of the best ever. May this airline grow to reach greater heights.
