I travelled from Chennai to Bangalore by Paramount.I had an option of travelling by Kingfisher.But since I had travelled often by Kingifisher, I thought will try out Paramount.My flight was at 9:10 PM and was at the airport by 8:30 PM.I had heard that just like Kingfisher, Paramount too has Valets to assist you with luggage.I did see a few of them, but then none of them volunteered to take my luggage and had to tug along at the Desk and then had to load it on the conveyor belt myself.I did see their Valets just staring at me.But they never volunteered to offer help.Also the ground staff lacked a smile and warmth.The lady who gave me to boarding pass had a look like she just attended a funeral.
In the flight it was a total different experience.The seats are plush and very comfortable.We were served Watermelon juice/tender cocnut water which was chilled.Once the flight took off they served meals.the meals were served in bone china which is unheard in economy class.I took the non veg option and they had piping hot boneless chicken biryani which was awesome.
There was some veg dish which was good too.The hallmark was their dessert which was the best I had ever tasted.I was just thinking of asking the Flight crew if I can have another helping.Just then my co -passenger asked for the dessert and they obliged.I did not feel like asking then and just eyed his dessert. :)
I would definately choose Paramount.I do hope they expand their operations.They only need to improve in their ground staff side.If they do, nothing would stop them from being the best.
