My mother recently flew Paramount. She had an early morning flight from Chennai to Coimbatore. Here is her feedback.
She travelled with 3 huge cardboard boxes full of glass things(which reached intact), 1 pair of heavy wooden doors, plus her normal luggage. She asked for help to check in and a luggage handler was immediately sent to help her, right from the curb-side counter to check in counter. Rating – very good
Counter staff was very friendly and efficient, and did not charge for excess baggage. Rating – very good
Big time trouble next. Her name was not on the passenger list, and the flight was full. Rating – terrible
Duty manager saw her immediately and within 2 minutes found a seat for her! Rating – very good
Duty manager apologised, offered his card and asked her to call if she had any problems. Rating – very good
Plane was small. (I don’t know what she imagined.) Rating – a little disappointed
Seats were regular economy size, not the wide business class size. Rating – very disappointed
There were 4 cabin crew. Rating - overkill
Choice of drinks – coconut water and orange juice were offered before take off. Rating – nice touch
Safety instructions were clear. Rating – was expected
Food service started by giving out menus. Rating – overkill
Food was tasty. Rating – very good
All-china crockery. Rating – overkill
As the flight was very short, the cabin crew were literally running up and down the aisles to finish serving breakfast. Rating – very funny
Cabin crew were smart, polite and friendly. Rating – very good
Airhostesses wore too much make-up. Rating – ugh
At Coimbatore luggage arrived within 10 minutes. Rating – very good
She almost made a return journey. This is what happened.
Printer at ticket counter was not working, so ticket could not be printed out. Rating - very bad
Counter staff wrote the info down on a piece of paper. Rating – at least something happened
Flight was delayed by three hours due to a technical problem – terrible
Refreshment was offered. Rating – good
Customer service executives came to see her, and other passengers, and apologised, instead of just announcing it on the PAS. Rating – very good
The over all experience – My mothers rating -
Paramount has lots of starting troubles, but also has very helpful staff. If you want good service and if you can get a cheap ticket, you must fly Paramount.
My rating -
Fly Paramount after deciding what is important to you. I think they are still not very reliable. If you like good service and dont mind delays it is good. If getting to your destination is most important, fly another airline till Paramount sorts out its problems.
