I’ve flown Paramount over FIFTY times this past year alone. (My wife is in Blore, me HYD), we both meet only thanks to Paramount! LOL! I have not a single complaint, except once when the flight was cancelled due to technical reasons. But even then I was given an alternative immediately and professionally handled.
Why do I like these guys so much?
1) I can book my ticket and check-in online. It saves me time and energy. You can echeck in only if you don’t have luggage. When I go to meet my wife, I rarely carry any baggage so this is most convenient. Also I can select my seat online after purchasing the ticket. In any flight, if I sit over the wings it makes me feel sick like vomiting, so I can select my flight seat on my own and that really helps me.
2) Counter staff and ground staff are very helpful. Everyone is young and efficient. Feels good to interact with them and they are very respectful with passengers. Never had any problems. Once I had to cancel my flight at last minute, but they instantly extended service and guided me. Very good staff.
3) Inflight: Inside the flight is where you will see their tagline coming true: A world of difference. Not even foreign flights are so comfortable. I feel proud to think of it being started by an Indian and a young man. The flight make is Brazilian Embraer. They have a page in their inflight magazine of how this flight make is the best—even better than airbus and boeing and others. They give you facts and figures, measuring distance of aisles and seat pitch and others. You only have to sit down in the flight once to know that this is true. It’s excellent.
4) Lounge access before flights: I;m starving when I come directly from work. The lounge access is heaven sent. I can eat, make phone calls, wrap up pending matters. Even work on laptop before flight. I go very early (even though I have no baggage most of the times), simply to enjoy the excellent lounge facility.
5)Valet service: I have spondyllitis and cannot carry heavy stuff which is why mostly I travel very light. But sometimes it is unavoidable. At those times, some smartly dressed valets carry laptop bag and other luggages right upto aircraft, put it inside in the overhead bins and leave. It’s a boon for me, when injury prevents me from carrying myself
6) They have so many meal types –13 I think. However if you don’t tell your travel agent or book it before hand you;ll get only veg or nonveg. The desserts are simply delicious. You cannot count calories on Paramount. You can only eat eat and EAT! Superb every time, no complaints on this score. Simply EXCELLENT inflight service. Very pretty ladies too! ;D
7) My cousin traveled from abroad. They allowed him to carry more than 30 kgs of luggage. He was also praising the service to the skies.
8) Attention to details: No plastic trays or ugly spoons. Everything done with a style inflight. What elegance! I admire that.
9) I once lost my cellphone inflight. Tried calling them, but couldn’t reach anyone. Wrote to their customer response box. Sent an email. Within one hour, someone called and the next day I received my cellphone by DHL. It was this that really touched me. I never thought Id see my phone again!! I was amazed and very happy.
10) I;ve received several complimentary tickets thanks to their frequent flyer options. Good but they should start a programme and give cards. But this offer is better than cards, because even with a card you cannot fly free after seven times only, but cards are nice to have.
SUMMARY: This is a very professionally run airline. Standards and quality excellent always, be it food, service, lounge, valet, inflight, baggages…they should keep it up and not let it degrade like Jet has. Also, prices reasonable. I wont say low, but if you want low, go for the LCC and good luck to you if you ever reach your destination pal. I would say this is the most promising in the Indian skies. Every Paramount flier I know will never change to another carrier.
