Who designed this atrocity of an airport?
Yes, its glorious to look at from the outside, but inside it is dingy and serviced by the rudest people on God’s green earth. There is a lack of duty free shops, restaurants and even the most basic of escalators after you pass security control. Moreover, the Air France Business Class lounges are a joke. Cheap champagne and bags of potato chips for food and drink? What a blot on a nation that prides itself on its cuisine and wine.
Worst of all are the hired Aeroport de Paris staff that many international airlines use for their check-in staff. They are rude, indifferent at best, know very little about the airline they are supposedly staffing, and even less about the airport. A smile? Forget it.
The arrivals area where one retrieves one’s baggage is worse than an airport like Mumbai, and that in itself should tell one how wretched CDG2 is. No porters to assist the elderly or the sick and weak.
