Parveen Travels: - Basically a travel operator firm which tries to play gimmicks with customers when tickets are booked online through their website. They give a notification saying ticket is booked and they do send a conformation SMS.
But on the day of journey when you are about to board at the boarding point they say your ticket is cancelled (they cancel your ticket without any notification/ adopt tricks to make the seat booked by you to be displayed as not booked) by the customer himself and play gimmicks and prevent customers from travelling perhaps looting money, fooling and cheating customers.
A very dangerous travel operator. Customers for heaven sake please never rely on Parveen Travels/ dont ever choose to travel with the services of these people. No.1 Cheats and Fradulent Travel Operators existing in the market. Beware. Beware. Beware. Later you gotta regret. "Prevention is always better than cure." I am one of the victim who got trapped and fooled by their gimmicks and tricks.
I booked a ticket through Parveen Travels from Kodaikanal to Chennai on the 26th Feb 2014. My departure time was at 18.30pm in the evening from Kodaikanal. When I arrived at the boarding point the Parveen operator in Kodaikanal verified my ticket and said my ticket was cancelled and that it was showing in his system that the following seat No.22 which I had booked was available and open for booking.
In view of this I wasnt allowed to board the bus and by the time the bus left and I had to make alternative arrangements to return back to Chennai. When I called up the customer care and reported the incident they blamed me saying that I cancelled my ticket and they tried to play gimmicks saying that I could still travel in their bus if I wish to and they would stop the departed bus somewhere from where I can board again and continue my journey.
I refused as it was already too late and I had found alternative sources to return back to Chennai and I requested these fellows for a refund of my ticket charges as I had not undertaken the journey though I paid Rs. 551 for my ticket and I was prevented from traveling saying my ticket was cancelled.
In this context I wrote to their customer care department and also spoke to them over phone requesting for a genuine refund of my ticket charges for which they are giving reasons to justify their mistake and they havent still come forward to accept the error at their end and to refund my ticket charges. So I felt it would be better to file legal proceedings in the consumer court against these cheaters so that these kind of incidents dont occur again.
I have given a period of 3 days for the management of Parveen travels to refund my ticket fare and if they dont I would be registering a case with the Tribunal at the Consumers Court seeking suitable compensation for all the losses these cheaters have caused me towards my financial loss, physical and mental stress and strain.
Though the fare is a small sum of money a matter of Rs. 551 still at the end of the day it is my hard earned money which cannot be compromised with robbers like Parveen Travels at any cost. This will be a good way to teach them a lesson so that they give regard to poor innocent customers who choose to travel with this fraudulent company.
