The PSK was an excellent initiative however there are two loopholes that are making this system absolutely waste of public money 1) online appointment - the online appointment system is designed in such way that a highly computer savvy persons will also struggles to get the appointment the appointment gets filled up within few seconds its absolutely impossible for a person who is not use to with computers to take the appointment an here agents come in picture they charge anywhere between 1000-5000 just to fill up form and take appointment. 2) police verification - once your file comes at your nearest police station the PSK guys will take there hands OFF there is no time limit for completing the police verification your online status will show that the police verification is pending.
However is upto convenience of the police that they come and complete the verification in maximum cases the applicant has to visit the police station. here if you pay the bribe your file will move forward else it will stuck there will be neither a positive nor a negative report. suggestion for the govt- please work on these two areas if we are paying the stipulated amount of fees and submitting the necessary certificates then its responsibility of PSK team to make each and every stage of the system transparent and time bound
