Bel Murabba was suggested to my husband for keeping the body cool during summers. We bought the pack by Patanjali-Divya Pharmacy. Bel has an odd taste and flavour - like something intoxicating. But that is how it tastes naturally, not very pleasant.
The murabba overall tastes ok(well made murabba) and can be stored easily at room temperature, but the pieces of Bel in the murabba are pretty big. They could have cut it into smaller pieces. For one to get its benefits, this has to be consumed on a regular basis, which my husband did not do. So can’t really talk about the benefits. But no side effects. It is also supposed to be good for chronic digestive disorders.
1kg pack costs about Rs.100 - very reasonable.
