I’ve had Chyawanprash before, mainly from Baidyanath and Dabur. That was before Patanjali came into picture. So I decided to give Patanjali’s Chyawanprash a try. Keep in mind this is just an initial taste review (not a long term benefits review). Packaging is okay(I bought 500 gms pack ). After opening the seal pack, the initial smell was on the sweeter side. Took a spoon to scoop out a bite, but It was difficult than usual. Most of the water content was missing. It was less like a paste, more like a chunk. Somehow the taste was also different. It was dry, yet the taste was kinda on the good side. Definitely felt sugar crystals. Meaning that the sugar was not dissolved properly.
Overall, the texture was bad, but the aftertaste was kinda okay, not the best. Did not like the dryness and the sugar crystals. Since its cheaper compared to other brands, they had to cut costs somewhere, in this case they cut the water supply to the plant(lol).
