During our Gujarat trip recently we had to travel by bus from Dwarka to Ahmedabad, and booked in a Deluxe bus run by Patel Tour & Travels, sleeper coach.
At scheduled time 7:15 pm we reached Swastik travels, Bhadrakali Road in Dwarka, but the guy over there has got no idea of the bus, and seems quite quite frustrated already with many calls that he had for various people.
He told us that he gets no share of the booking, hence he couldn’t further.
Finally the bus arrives at around 7:30 pm, we boarded and occupied our allotted places. We had only 7 passengers including us, and there were 3 senior citizens too. The attendant/ In-charge were so rude for no reason, and had no clear answers to us for Dinner time, next stop etc etc. We were hungry, and also wanted to know where the time-break, so that we could plan dinner/ toilet etc. The bed covers were untidy and he had no spares sheets to share with us.
And the horror part is yet to come.We saw few short distance passengers getting into the bus, and this went on till Jamnager. The attendant/ In-charge were busy collecting money from them and were rude to us and told us to go and sit on our allotted places.
I am not sure if this is authorized to get short distance passengers from unscheduled stops, in a long distance deluxe bus.
This went on till Jamnagar, which is about 100 km away from our start and took over 4 hours to reach at 11 pm, because the staff was entertaining/ attracting many short distance passengers for quick money. We were finally granted 10 min time to grab dinner. What a mercy, finally!
