There are times when it has been reported in the media that akshay kumar always does similar type of films with same set of expressions so perhaps enraged or encouraged by this akshay kumar decides to do a different type of film and hence comes up with film with a different agenda but ends up with same result.
Although instead of driving you nuts like always this time he bores you as the film has poor script, screenplay, poor casting and weak direction and the only good point about this film is its music which is good and I would like to add that it is unfortunate that well intentioned film about racism fails to evoke right emotions and fails to register the correct impact so my advice would be to avoid the dvd when it releases in the market
Plot
The film mainly is the story of 34 year gattu(akshay kumar) who was an national level cricketer in England in his teens but has been reduced to an bored shopkeeper as because of his father(rishi kapoor) who hates all things british because of racism incident early in his life because of which gattu has to kill his ambition of playing for england and gattus father also is despised by his other family member as he runs his joint family called patiala house with iron fist and does not give freedom to anyone to do anything and the film therefore shows how gattu finally achieve his ambitions of playing for England with the help of his girlfriend(anushka) and other family members and how he manages to win his hard hearted father over
