A victim of poor perception management.

Having studied at Patna College and Patna University, it is painful to read so many biased reviews.  PU students have contributed in all social and public activities as well as other institutions.  The major failure of PU has been the absence of perception management. PU lacks the marketing skills( or they just do not care) to publicise. The focus of this university has not been on management graduates, as in Metros, but on teachings of the undertanding of fundamental socio-economic issues. Hence these students are oriented towards contibuting in administration and public service, and not in corporate management.

There are problems, but so are these in almost all the universities and colleges - DU and JNU included. However, inspite of the constraints of financial resources, what PU students achieve and what they deliver is commendable. The teachers are mostly of outstanding knowledge, and sincere commitment. So are the majority of students.

It depends upon whether you want to focus at shortcomings( which do exist) or to look at the positives - which are aplenty to appreciate.

I have achieved quite a lot, and so have many others I  know, who are the products of PC / PU. And all this despite the massive disturbances of late 70s( emergency and so on) when I was picking up threads of knowledge and wisdom in those corridores and the bank of Ganges.
